ZhangJian Scientific Research Vessel

ZhangJian is a comprehensive modern ocean science research with multi-disciplines, multi-functions and multi-measures all-in-one. The ship is the mother ship for 11,000m manned HOV and supports the underwater engineering operation. It meets the demand for multi-discipline ocean research such as deep ocean physical oceanography, geophysics, marine geology. Marine chemistry and marine biology, etc.

ZhangJian has overall length of 97.55m, moulded width of 17.8m, moulded depth of 8.4m, displacement of 4800T, cruising ability of 15,000 nautical miles, and personnel of 60 persons. The vessel with DP1 is driven by CPP propulsion system with one big and one small main engines, and 3 pitch-adjustable bow thrusters. Acoustic equipment transducer is pit-mounted in the bottom of vessel. The vessel has a 600m² aft deck and 468m² laboratory.
